This place was an active military base until the 70's. Now it's a public park with great views. Rumor has it that Fort Totten was the locale of the safe house where Joe Valachi, the Genovese family mob turncoat, was hiding in 1970 until taken away to a Federal prison in Texas where he died in 1971. Throgs Neck Bridge connects Queens to Bronx. It's a pretty nice view during day or night. I got tatted up by mosquitos trying to get some night shots. It was worth it..
Ideas are good, but one must put the ideas into action. Sometimes I just grab the camera and go shoot things. It's almost like a therapy for me because I forget the stress of the day. I'm always trying to advance my photography skills, so the guerrilla shooting helps. These are some shots I took around my way.
